Price and how to order
Do you need a license to fly the Volonaut Airbike?
Volonaut says no license is needed to fly the Airbike in the US because it is designed to meet the FAA ultralight rules (Part 103). This is a design target, not a confirmed status. Part 103 allows one occupant, recreation or sport use only, under 254 lb empty weight, no more than 5 US gallons of fuel and no more than 55 knots (63 mph) in level flight. Flying is limited to daylight, away from congested areas and crowds, with ATC approval needed for controlled airspace near airports. Volonaut has not published the Airbike's fuel capacity.
