Questions people ask

Can I ride an air taxi yet?

Not on a regular paid service yet. Joby is targeting Dubai before the end of 2026 and Archer is targeting Abu Dhabi in late 2026 or early 2027; EHang's sightseeing flights in China are in trial operations.

What is an eVTOL?

An electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft: it lifts off like a helicopter using several electric rotors, and most designs then fly on a wing. Air taxis are built for short hops across a city or to an airport.

How much will an air taxi cost?

Few operators have said. EHang announced an early-bird ¥299 (about $45) sightseeing ticket in China for March 2026, though sales aren't confirmed open. Uber says Joby rides in Dubai should cost about the same as Uber Black, and Sarla has compared its planned fares to premium cabs.
